1. Keyword and negative keyword management
Weekly search-term review and negative keyword additions. This is where Hong Kong accounts waste the most money.
Google Ads quotes in Hong Kong run from a few thousand a month to six figures, and the quote itself rarely explains the difference. This page does not sell a package. It sets out what the monthly fee is made of, the four things that genuinely move the price, and why the service fee must be listed separately from ad spend. The organic equivalent is on our SEO pricing page.

We connect technical foundations, Hong Kong search intent, useful landing-page content and conversion tracking—so the work is prioritised around business value.
The charging model for search ads is simple enough: ad spend is media money paid to Google, and none of it stays with the agency. The service fee pays the people doing the work: account structure, keywords, ad copy, landing page recommendations, monthly analysis. They are different things.
Google itself charges in three ways. Search ads are billed per click (CPC), so you pay only when somebody clicks. Display and YouTube ads are mostly billed per thousand impressions (CPM) or per view. Automated bidding can then optimise towards a target cost per conversion (target CPA) or a target return on ad spend (target ROAS). The price of a click is not fixed. It is set in a live auction by your bid, your Quality Score and how many advertisers want the same keyword.
Plenty of quotes merge them into one number. The consequence is concrete: you cannot tell what the service itself is worth, and you cannot change the ad budget without disturbing the service. Worse is the percentage-of-spend model, which gives an agency a reason to tell you to spend more.
We itemise three things: ad budget to Google, service fee to us, setup once. We take no percentage. How the work itself runs is on Google Ads management.
This page uses its own service and audience journey, not a generic template.
A management fee buys continuous operation, not a one-time setup. These six are the work that actually runs each month. Where the landing page is the limiting factor, see conversion rate optimization.

Chinese and English tested separately. The wording, length and hooks differ; one shared set underperforms in both.
Adjusted by time, device and district. Mobile converts on a very different clock from desktop in Hong Kong.
Broken tracking is the most common and most expensive fault, because every optimisation rests on it.
Cheap clicks with a page that cannot hold them still produce expensive enquiries. We say what to change.
Enquiries, cost per enquiry, and which keywords produced business — not ranking screenshots.
With a fixed fee and separate spend, cost per enquiry is a number you can actually read.
Raise it in peak season, cut it in quiet months. The service is unaffected and nothing needs renegotiating.
We take no percentage, so telling you to spend more gains us nothing. It only comes up when the data supports it.
The account stays in your name and the history goes with you. That is written into the terms.
You have two or three quotes in hand and cannot see what separates them.
The monthly fee and the ad spend arrive as one line on one invoice.
You want to know what a sensible starting budget looks like.
The money is going out, the enquiries are not coming in, and nobody can say why.
All four are common in Hong Kong. Meeting one does not mean something is wrong, but it does mean you should ask.
The agency earns more when you spend more, so you cannot tell whether a recommendation is data or self-interest.
The service fee sits hidden inside the ad budget. You never learn what the service costs.
Change agency and the history stays behind. You start again from nothing.
Ad position is decided by auction and quality score. Nobody can guarantee it.
We look at the account and the site first, then quote. The same approach is on our SEO pricing page.
A fresh build and taking over a tangled existing account are very different amounts of work.
Legal, finance and medical clicks cost markedly more; local services much less.
Chinese and English need separate research, separate copy and separate testing. It is not one translation.
Whether we advise on the page or build it changes the number.
We look at the account, the tracking and the landing pages, and name the most expensive problem.
Three items, listed separately, nothing hidden.
Account structure, keywords, copy — and above all, confirming that conversion tracking is accurate.
Continuous adjustment, with monthly reporting on enquiries and cost per enquiry.
Three numbers, and it is obvious what each one is for.
No percentage, so a recommendation only ever follows the data.
The account is in your name and can leave with you at any time.
The monthly report maps onto the deliverables the quote listed.
The monthly report is not ranking screenshots. It is three numbers: how many enquiries came in, what each cost, and which keywords actually produced business. Where there was no progress, we say so.
Ads bring enquiries now; organic brings the long-run cost down. They read accurately only together — see SEO agency Hong Kong.

It splits in two. Ad budget starts from a few thousand a month depending on how contested your industry is; the service fee depends on account complexity, how many languages, and who owns the landing page. We review first and quote a fixed figure after.
Per click. You are charged when somebody clicks, not when the ad is shown. What each click costs is set by the auction and by quality score, so two advertisers on the same keyword can pay very different amounts.
Because they are different things. Ad spend is media paid to Google; the service fee pays the people doing the work. Merged into one number, you can neither value the service nor adjust the spend without disturbing it.
No. A percentage gives an agency a reason to tell you to spend more. We charge a fixed monthly fee, unrelated to your spend.
There is no hard floor, but on a very small budget the data accumulates too slowly and optimisation becomes guesswork. Where budget is tight we usually suggest starting with local SEO, which returns more reliably.
Ads can produce enquiries the same day. Bringing the cost per enquiry down usually takes one to two months of search-term data.
No long lock-in. The account is in your name and you can stop at any time.
Google Ads has three payment settings. Automatic payments: your ads run first and the card is charged when you reach a billing threshold or on the monthly billing date. Manual payments: you prepay and ads stop when the balance runs out (not offered on every account). Monthly invoicing: eligible businesses can apply for a credit line and pay by invoice. Hong Kong accounts can bill in HKD, but the billing currency is chosen when the account is created and cannot be changed later. If it differs from your card currency, the bank may add a foreign-currency fee.
Four things: your bid, your Quality Score, the competition and the search context. Quality Score is made up of expected click-through rate, ad relevance and landing page experience, and an ad with a high score can win a better position on a lower bid. Keywords with more advertisers and stronger buying intent cost more, and the Chinese and English keywords for the same service often differ widely in price. Device, time of day and location also play a part. That is why the usual way to cut cost is to improve the ad and the landing page, not to lower the bid.
Search and Shopping ads are charged per click. Display ads can be charged per click or per thousand viewable impressions. YouTube video ads are mostly charged per view, counted when a viewer watches 30 seconds (or the whole ad if it is shorter) or interacts with it, and can also be bought per thousand impressions. Performance Max campaigns let Google spread the budget across all channels automatically and optimise towards the conversion goal you set.
Work backwards from the goal. Decide how many enquiries you need a month, divide by the conversion rate you expect from the landing page to get the clicks required, then multiply by the estimated cost per click in Google Keyword Planner. That gives a rough monthly budget. Google works on a daily budget: spend can run above it on a single day, but over a month it will not exceed the daily budget multiplied by 30.4. Treat the first one or two months as a test and correct the estimate with real data.
In Hong Kong they are close to the same. SEM (search engine marketing) normally means paid search ads, and nearly all paid search in Hong Kong runs on Google, so an SEM quote is usually the Google search ad budget plus a management fee. If a quote also covers Bing or Baidu, those should be listed separately.
Four are common: designing or changing the landing page, producing ad creative (images and video), setting up conversion and call tracking, and the foreign-currency fee on your card. Not every account needs all of them, but each should be asked about when you get the quote, not discovered after the work starts.
We look at your existing account, tracking and landing pages, name the most expensive problem, and then give you a quote with the three parts listed separately.
