A monthly deliverables list
Spelling out how many pages of content, how many technical fixes and how many reports each month — not "ongoing optimisation".
SEO quotes in Hong Kong run from a few thousand a month to six figures, and the quote itself rarely explains the difference. This page does not sell a package. It sets out what the monthly fee is actually made of, the four things that genuinely move the price, the quoting methods worth being wary of, and why the service fee must always be listed separately from ad spend. What the work itself involves is on SEO agency Hong Kong.

Three quotes, wildly different numbers, all headed "SEO services". The difference is almost never who is expensive and who is cheap. It is how much work each quote actually contains, who does it, and whether things that are not a service fee have been folded into the number.
The most common case: Google Ads spend and the service fee bundled into one figure. The client then has no way to see what they are paying for the work, and no way to compare.
This page uses its own service and audience journey, not a generic template.
If a quote does not show these, ask. Not because something is necessarily wrong, but because these are the parts that determine the price. The AI-search layer is priced separately — see AEO and GEO.
Spelling out how many pages of content, how many technical fixes and how many reports each month — not "ongoing optimisation".
How many pages the audit covers, and whether fixing is included or you are handed a report to action yourself.
Ten low-competition terms and ten head terms are entirely different amounts of work. The quote should say which.
Chinese and English are searched differently, so research and content have to be done separately. Quoted as one job, it usually means only one language gets done.
Whether the people pitching are the people working. Outsourcing is not necessarily worse, but you are entitled to know.
Contract length, notice period, and who owns the content, accounts and data when you leave.
Once deliverables are itemised, the expensive quote is sometimes the cheapest, because it contains what the other two left out.
Separated out, you can see your real cost of service, and you can change ad budget without renegotiating the work.
What the quote promised is what the report shows. That is the only way to tell whether work happened.
A ranking promise cannot be verified. A deliverables list can.
You have two or three quotes with very different numbers and want to know where the difference actually is.
No in-house experience, and no clear sense of what to ask or what counts as reasonable.
Several months in, and unable to say what is actually done each month.
The budget is set, and you need to know which part to do first.
All four are common in Hong Kong. None of them necessarily means bad faith, but each leaves the client unable to judge what they bought.
The most common one. The client sees a total, never learns the cost of the work itself, and cannot compare.
Nobody controls Google's rankings. Work and reporting can be promised; a position cannot.
Tiered packages are built for the seller's convenience, not around your site. Your problems will not land neatly in one tier.
Keyword count and workload are not related. One competitive term can be harder than twenty long-tail ones.
Priced to scope, not to a package. The scope is set by the four factors below.
A site with many issues carries more upfront work. This is why we audit before quoting.
Some Hong Kong terms are barely contested; others mean competing with sites a decade old. That sets the timeline.
Chinese and English mean two sets of research and two sets of content. Both languages is close to double the work.
Whether you supply the copy or we write it changes the number substantially, and a technical sector takes longer to learn.
We look at your site and target searches and point out the clearest opportunities and problems. No fee, nothing to sign.
Scope is set from that review, with each monthly deliverable and its price itemised. Service fee and ad spend separated.
Highest-impact items first. Technical issues usually precede content, because content has to sit on something crawlable.
The report maps onto the quote's list: what was done, how positions moved, what comes next.
Your site will not fit a package. The scope follows your situation and the price follows the scope.
No line items discovered later, no additions after the fact. What the quote shows is all of it.
They are different things, and combining them removes the client's ability to judge. We never show them merged.
Chinese and English handled together, same time zone, no waiting for a reply window.
Transparent pricing is only half of it. The other half is that the results can be checked against it. The monthly report maps directly onto the deliverables the quote listed — no more, no less. The same reporting standard applies to Google Ads management.

The market runs from a few thousand a month to well over a hundred thousand. The range is too wide to be useful on its own, because the price follows the workload: the state of the site, how contested the target searches are, one language or two, and who writes the content. That is why we review first and quote after.
Because they are different things. Ad spend is media paid to Google; the service fee pays the people doing the work. Merged into one number, you cannot tell what the service is worth, and you cannot change ad budget without renegotiating the work.
No. Packages suit the seller, and your problems will not land neatly in a tier. We price to scope, and the scope is only accurate after the free review.
No long contract. SEO takes time to work, but that is not a reason to lock you in: if the monthly deliverables are visible, clients stay. The content, accounts and data are yours at any point.
Technical fixes usually show within weeks. Content and positions generally take three to six months, longer on contested terms. Any promise faster than that is worth questioning.
Yes, and sometimes it is the right call. Hong Kong B2B search skews English, but Chinese is usually less contested. The free review will show which side pays back sooner.
Most Hong Kong SEO agencies use one of four models: a monthly retainer for ongoing work, a fixed project fee for a defined job such as an audit or a site migration, an hourly consulting rate, or a performance-linked fee. We quote by scope, as a monthly retainer or a one-off project, list setup separately and keep ad budget out of the fee entirely. Be careful with ranking-guarantee packages and fees tied to keyword counts, because they reward the wrong work.
A clear quote lists the work delivered each month (technical fixes, number of content pages, how links are earned), what the report contains and how often, who owns the website changes and content, the contract term and exit terms, and the setup fee and monthly fee as separate lines. A quote that only lists a number of keywords, without the work behind them, is hard to compare and hard to hold to account.
Tell us your site and the searches you want. You get a quote with the scope written out, service fee and ad spend listed separately, and no lock-in — together with a free review of where you rank now and what is worth doing first.
